Compassion Journaling

I have devised a therapeutic writing tool called Compassion Journaling that I am currently trialling it with a wide variety of audiences to maximise its therapeutic potential and explore its suitability as a form of self-therapy.

Stroke and acquired brain injury survivors & their carers​

I am part of an arts-funded research team exploring creative writing's potential to help improve the psychological wellbeing of stroke and acquired brain injury survivors. This cross-disciplinary team is led by Professor Sebastien Groes (University of Wolverhampton) and includes: 

  • Professor Jon McGregor (University of Nottingham)

  • Birmingham City University’s School of Health Sciences

  • Poppy Young (Speech and Language Therapist, Aintree Hospital)

  • Dr Indira Natarajan (Neurologist, Stoke-on-Trent Hospital).
